This Month's Parish Movie

On Saturday, September 4, at 2:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall, Movie Matinee presents a second screening of Constantine and the Cross, an Italian-made epic about the struggle of the Roman emperor in bringing Christianity to the forefront in pagan Rome. Because of the depicted persecution of early Christians, the film is not recommended for small children. Please consider bringing a snack or dessert to share.

Neighbors' Dinners

In an effort to have parishioners meet fellow parishioners who are also neighbors, Sacred Heart is revitalizing the Neighbors' Dinners. The potluck dinners, held in parishioners' homes, are a way for parishioners to meet each other in a setting not far from home. Sacred Heart provides the entree (if the hosting parishioner so desires) and the guests bring the sides, salads, drinks, and dessert. The guests are parishioners who live in the same neighborhood/geographic area as the host parishioner. It's always interesting to find out that a person you recognize from the grocery store or from your morning running route is also a Sacred Heart parishioner! New Ministry Opportunity

Is your life too hectic to participate in any of the ministries at Sacred Heart? What if there were a ministry that allowed each member to decide when and where the ministry's action takes place? Intrigued? We are looking for people to write notes of gratitude to non-parishioners who attend Mass at Sacred Heart and who contribute to the collection by means of a check. Sacred Heart will provide the stationery, the postage, and the names and addresses of the contributors. We'll even provide you with a sample "Thank-you" note! All you need to provide is a few minutes of your time. You can write a note at any hour of the day convenient for you, at any place convenient for you.
